Who we are
More Life to Live Retreats is operated by Kline Training Group, LLC, based in Florida, USA We organize small-group hiking and personal-growth retreats for men, including our 8-day journey on El Camino de Costa Rica.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through morelifetoliveretreats.com and when you book a retreat with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run a safe, well-organized retreat, and we never sell your information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details when you email us, fill out a contact form, schedule a call, or sign up for updates: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Application details after you reserve a spot: your answers about yourself and what you hope to get from the retreat.
- Travel and booking details we need to plan the trip: your name as it appears on your passport, travel dates and arrival information, an emergency contact, and your room-sharing preferences.
- Health and dietary information you choose to share, such as dietary needs, allergies, fitness level, or medical conditions our guides should know about. This is used only for your safety and comfort on the trip.
- Payment information when you pay your retainer or balance. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our website host and its analytics tools may collect basic technical information, such as your browser type, device, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site. We use this only in summary form, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and talk with you about whether the retreat is a good fit
- To review your application and confirm your place
- To process your payments and send receipts
- To plan and run the trip: lodging, meals, transfers, guides, and safety
- To send you trip information, such as packing lists, schedules, and pre-trip calls
- To send occasional updates about future retreats, if you've agreed to receive them
- To improve our website and our retreats
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the people and services needed to run your retreat, and only what each one needs:
- Our trip partners in Costa Rica, UrriTrek and the local guides, lodges, and host families, who receive what they need to host you safely, such as your name, dietary needs, and relevant health or emergency information.
- Service providers who help us run the business: our website host (Articulation), our payment processor (Stripe), and our email and scheduling tools.
- Emergency services or medical providers, if needed to protect your health or safety during the trip.
- Legal authorities, if we are required to by law.
Your fellow participants will know your name and Whatsapp phone number to have you in the group communications group, and anything you choose to share with them. We will not otherwise share your contact details with the group without your permission.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the site to work, and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site should still work, though some features may not.
Emails from us
If you sign up for updates, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by writing to us. Trip-related messages for a retreat you've booked will continue until the trip is complete.
How we protect your information
We use reputable services with standard security protections, limit access to the people who need it, and share health information only with those responsible for your care on the trip. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. We keep health and emergency information only for the trip it was collected for, and then delete it. If you'd like us to delete your other information sooner, just ask.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and to stop sending you marketing emails. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We'll honor any request we're legally required to, and most reasonable requests even when we aren't.
Children
Our retreats are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
